One of the most valuable treasures that Netflix possesses is Black Mirror. The series is a sort of anthology that features episodes on technology and a dystopian future.
Now it’s time to be ready for more mind-bending stories from the hit series “Black Mirror”! Netflix has announced that season 7 is coming in 2025, and one of the episodes will be a sequel to the popular season 4 episode called “USS Callister.” The sequel thing is a rare feat as all the episodes are a sort of anthology.
At a special event called Next on Netflix in London, the streaming giant revealed this exciting news. They also shared updates about casting and other content for the upcoming season.
In the sequel episode, even though Robert Daly, played by Jesse Plemons, is gone, the crew of the USS Callister spaceship faces new problems. If you remember, Daly was a programmer who trapped his co-workers in a virtual reality game. But they fought back against him, led by Nanette Cole, played by Cristin Milioti.
The original episode was a big hit because of its cool story and how it made us think about technology.
But let’s wait for 2025 as the series will be dropping sometime next year. We are assuming that it will be released in the fall. Let’s wait to see what it brings.
