Marvel’s cinematic universe is expanding wider with releasing of more movies and series every year. With some handy releases planned this year, “Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever” is also set to release. The production of the movie which faced several challenges including the death of the King of Wakanda, Chadwick Boseman. The sequel of Black Panther which is also a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman will expand the Marvel cinematic universe by introducing Iron (Dominique Thorne) and Namor (Tenoch Huerta), the King of Atlanta.
The recent leaks revealed by The Cosmic Circus have some details about the movie. The team of the movie is currently shooting in the former Ritz Carlton Hotel and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They are reportedly shooting a flashback scene which will give insight about the history of Wakanda. Marvel has previously shot many flashback scenes about the past where recently in Eternals (2021) we saw a flashback of the beginning of human civilization.
Additionally, Marvel is casting extras of various ethnic backgrounds to play roles for this shoot, which takes place from March 18 to March 23. Local calls are for Black children and adults, actors with European features that could play Conquistadors and Friars, and individuals with indigenous features that are seen in natives of Central America, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
And marvel is planning to cast extras who represent various ethnic groups for the roles and the shoot will commence on March 18 to March 23. The features of this cast and the setting of the shoot indicates Marvel is planning to shoot something in the 1500-1600 which is the period of European Colonization of America.
Wakanda was a lone country until King T’Challa revealed more about them in Vienna which turned out to be a good thing, but now the country will have to face more threats from other countries and the events of Eternals which will supposedly lead to the rise of Atlantians and since Namor is confirmed in the movie we can also expect conflicts between Wakandans and Atlantians.
