Ali Abbas Zafar planned an untitled superhero film featuring Katrina Kaif in the lead. He had even got a producer on board for the said flick. And it was supposed to turn into a franchise. However, the unfortunate coronavirus pandemic crisis put the plans on hold.
As the saying goes, when God closes one door, he opens another. When the original producer Ronnie Screwwala backed out from the production, Netflix grabbed the opportunity with both hands. They have decided to fund the product and make it on a grand scale for a worldwide audience.
Instead of a franchise, the untitled superhero flick will now be made in two parts, though. The future will depend on how well these two movies are received.
The director of Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat, Ali Abbas Zafar is making his digital foray with Saif Ali Khan’s next. The shooting of his current web series is going on. The two-part Netflix film won’t be his first in this space. Watch this space for more details on the exciting project.
