Robert Downey Jr, who plays the all-time favourite character of Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is producing a series for Netflix, along with his wife, Susan.
The series is a live-action presentation, based on DC’s Vertigo comics series of the same name by Jeff Lemire. Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar and Will Forte will star in the eight-part series, and veteran actor James Brolin will be the narrator.
Robert Downey Jr took to Twitter to announce his association with the project. He wrote,
The sweetest things are worth waiting for…Susan and I are producing a @Netflix original series, Sweet Tooth, based on the comic by @JeffLemire. Can’t wait to share it with you all. 🦌 👦
Fans of the comics have described it as ‘Mad Max meets Bambi’. The narrative is centered on the protagonist Gus, who is part boy, part deer, and leaves his forest to befriend humans and human-animal hybrids in the outside world after a calamity devastates the world.
