The teaser for ‘Bohurupi’ is out now and it looks like it will be a pretty big thing in single screens this Puja. Previously Shiboprosad and Nandita’s movie ‘Pradhan’ posed some doubts in fans for the production quality did not look very good, but the movie eventually turned out to be a hit. ‘Bohurupi’ too has a good cast and crew, but there are still problems with production designing and it seems the industry is still struggling in big-budget projects.
On the other hand, ‘Tekka’ will be the much anticipated collaboration between Dev and Srijit Mukherjee. Srijit has already given some pretty good films in Bollywood and has mastered his craft of delivering according to expectations. Dev too has a name for being dedicated to his craft and his stardom will definitely help the movie. It is an action thriller and we have seen what Srijit Mukherjee can do in thrillers multiple times. ‘Tekka’ indeed is a much more anticipated titled but there is still little to no promotion for the movie. If Bohurupi overtakes ‘Tekka’ it will happen because of bad promotion. Otherwise it has a sharp edge against ‘Bohurupi’.
However, taking the present state of the West Bengal protests, the future of these films is highly unpredictable and they can be postponed like ‘Ei Raat Tomar Amar’ and ‘Jomaloye Jibonto Bhanu’.
