BookMyShow Stream has forged a partnership with the prominent streaming platform and production company, Mubi, expanding its arsenal with award-winning films. The newly formed partnership will bring more than 40 critically acclaimed titles to the platform, including Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun, Lea Mysius’ The Five Devils, and Park Chan-wook’s Decision to Leave. Among these titles, Aftersun and Decision to Leave are available to buy or rent on BookMyShow Stream. On the other hand, The Five Devils is marked for pre-buy and pre-rent.
All rented flicks will be available for 30 days to viewers. However, they will have only two days to finish watching their rented titles upon commencing the stream. Though, viewers can purchase as many movies as they want.
The partnership does not affect Mubi as it will continue running normally. But it has paved the way for introducing these flicks to Indian viewers.
Ashish Saksena, COO at BMS Stream, has expressed his excitement over the partnership with Mubi, “Our partnership with Mubi is another step in the direction of developing this impactful slate of content, constantly bringing the best of the globe to India and catering to this massive demand,” he said.
Mubi offers two subscription plans to Indian viewers, Mubi – Rs. 299/month and Mubi Go – Rs. 499/month.
New movies will be added to BMS Stream every Friday. The collaboration will bring globally prominent titles in multiple languages, such as English, French, Catalan, Korean, German, Arabic, Danish, Polish, and more.
BookMyShow Stream will integrate other critically acclaimed flicks, such as Paul Verhoeven’s Benedetta, David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the Future, Lars von Trier’s The Kingdom, Shiva Baby, The Worst Person in the World, and more, in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates.
