Quentin Tarantino is one of the few filmmakers in Hollywood who can boast of a flawless directorial filmography with not even a single film which was panned by critics and audiences. And the award-winning filmmaker is making sure that it remains that way.
His diehard fans are already aware that Quentin Tarantino’s last film as a director is titled ‘The Movie Critic’. And as per the latest update, Brad Pitt will be starring in the movie, which is slated for a theatrical release sometime in 2025. After ‘Inglourious Basterds’ and ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’, this would be the third film together for the actor-director duo.
‘The Movie Critic’ revolves around a film critic who wrote reviews for an adult magazine, and it will be set in 1977 in Southern California. It is being reported that Brad Pitt will essay the main role of a fictional movie critic Jim Sheldon, which is ostensibly based on a real-life second-string critic who was never really famous. But it’s not confirmed yet.
For all those Quentin Tarantino fans who still can’t deal with the news that ‘The Movie Critic’ is most probably going to be his last film as a director, the good thing is that the filmmaker has shown an interest in exploring other creative avenues like directing a limited series and theatrical plays, etc. But not feature films per se.
Besides the slickly executed ‘Kill Bill’ films, Quentin Tarantino’s illustrious directorial filmography consists of films like ‘Reservoir Dogs’, ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Inglorious Basterds’, ‘Django Unchained’, ‘The Hateful Eight’, and ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’, etc.
Moving on to Brad Pitt’s upcoming acting projects, the 60-year-old actor will next be seen in the psychological thriller movie ‘Wolfs’ co-starring George Clooney and ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ helmer Joseph Kosinski’s yet-untitled sports action film where he will essay the role of a Formula One Driver. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates on Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film ‘The Movie Critic’ starring Brad Pitt.
