Brahmastra is a mega-budget project. After several delays and a lot of trouble, we are finally seeing developments in the Trilogy.
This week itself, Dharma Productions released two teasers and the motion poster of the film. This can be a heavy VFX fantastical film that takes inspiration from ancient India.
There is no doubt about the fact that Hollywood films have successfully penetrated the Indian market. The whopping 33 Crore collection of Spider-Man: No Way Home is a recent and prominent example.
Indian films despite good content and potential are unable to do similar magic. A big reason behind this is our linguistic diversity. Hindi films are not very popular in South India and vice versa.
Although some Telugu films are breaking that stereotype they are still very few in number. Thankfully, more and more Indian films are breaking the language barrier and releasing their films in multiple languages.
Baahubali series did a similar thing and we all know the history it created. RRR, Radheshyam and recently announced Liger Saala Crossbreed is going to be released on a pan-India level.
Even after pathetic promotions, Pushpa: The Rise has earned a decent collection in North India.
Looking at similar trends, Karan Johar has announced that Brahmastra will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam along with original audio in Hindi.
Whether the film will become successful at the box office will be clear on 9th September 2022.
