Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is one of the biggest theatrical releases of 2022. Made with a humungous budget of 300 crores, this Ayan Mukherji project has Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles. Also, legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni are a part of this fantasy adventure movie. Recently, the leading man was seen promoting the film in Vishakhapatnam. There, the makers released the second teaser of the film and character reveals of Big B and Nagarjuna.
Ranbir also shared how sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan felt like, “Working with Amitabh Bachchan is truly an honour and a privilege for an actor. He is the best and the greatest Indian actor.”
Kapoor also sang praises for his wife, Alia Bhatt, in the interview. He even hailed her as the ‘next Amitabh Bachchan’ of Bollywood. In his opinion, Alia is ‘unlimited and immense’ as an actor.
No doubt that people have high expectations from Brahmastra. It may emerge as the ‘make or break deal’ for Bollywood. We know how the Hindi film industry is struggling these days. The post-COVID phase of Bollywood has disappointed the majority of prominent filmmakers and production houses. Projects like Attack: Part 1, Jersey, Runway 34, Heropanti 2, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Dhaakad, and many more suffered poor public reception during their respective theatrical releases. Even Yash Raj’s 250-crore monster, Samrat Prithviraj, is having a hard time at the box office these days. Kartik Aryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 somehow managed to exceed expectations and collected more than 200 crores globally.
Karen Johar’s Dharma Productions is one of the production companies of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva with the duo of Star Studios and Walt Disney Studios serving as the film’s distributors. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing Shiva. This movie is the first entry in the planned trilogy. It will hit the theatres on September 9. Stay tuned for more updates.
