‘Brahmastra : The Vision’ sucks audience into the mythical world of Astras!

‘Brahmastra : The Vision’ sucks audience into the mythical world of Astras!

Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva ‘ is the most anticipated bollywood release of this year. Director Ayan Mukherji who also is the chief creator of the ‘Astraverse’, claims the film to be the first of the Brahmastra trilogy and also first title in the Astraverse universe of movies. Ahead of its release on September 9th, the makers have been dropping promotional materials to hook the audience into the world of Brahmastra. The team just released a video explaining the Vision of Brahmastra and how the universe begins.

After a well received trailer that released on June 15th, fans and audience in general have been making theories, interpreting mythology and guessing the plot of the movie from the trailer easter eggs. A fantasy movie-universe they say, is as good as the interest it generates in its audience and Brahmastra definitely has generated it and piqued it with the drop of each of its promotional materials. Looking at the theories that sprouted post the trailer release, one can safely say that Brahmastra definitely is going to be an experience for ages.

In the latest 4 minute video clip released by team Brahmastra, director Ayan Mukherji explains about how the secret society ‘Brahmansh’ aka guardian keepers of Astras came into existence. He also explains how the society generations after generations have been guarding the Astras (around 16 of them) . He also explains about some of the major astras like Nandi Astra, Vanara Astra, Vaayu Astra, Jal Astra, Agni Astra, Prabhastra and the major one..the Brahmastra. There are snippets from trailer where some of the Astras are summoned and the key concept art behind the scenes post VFX work. Director Ayan Mukherji also confidently claims that the blend of modern and mythology that he’s attempted in Brahmastra is never seen before in India as he talks about how his hero ‘Shiva’ came into existence and how he is indeed an Astra himself unlike the other guardian keepers of Astras.

The video gives an introduction and a look at the detailing and creative imagination that went behind the World of Brahmastra. One can peek through the creative genius that is Ayan Mukherji. He is seen confident not only of the film he has in his hand, but also the entire universe aka Astraverse he is going for. Also, this is one of the most innovative promotional videos of Brahmastra ever in terms of increasing the anticipation amongst viewers. From the looks of it, we have more of such clips in store and possibly even a comic book version of this, in future if the film works. In fact, people are already asking the team to go for a comic book version of the universe post the film’s release. We hope the makers are hearing!

Brahmastra : Part 1 releases worldwide on September 9th. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy star in major roles in the film. With hardly two months to its release, we absolutely can’t wait for what the team has in store for us.. most importantly for the film in itself.
