After a long time, there’s palpable excitement for a film in the Hindi film industry. Ayan Mukerji‘s ‘Brahmāstra‘ is a film everyone’s been waiting for with bated breath. Needless to say that its first motion poster that the makers of the film launched this evening has created a buzz in the industry and among fans.
The motion poster was revealed at a special Brahmāstra fan event held in Delhi. Along with the motion poster, the makers also revealed the first look of its lead star Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva, a young man blessed with superhero powers.
Ranbir Kapoor looks simply magnetic as a superhero with powers steeped in Indian mythology. The young star revealed a few details about his character at the motion poster launch event. The character of Shiva is a man born with fantastical superpowers, who eventually discovers the full extent of his powers. The character is modeled after the Hindu God of destruction, Shiva. The character brandishes a powerful weapon called the ‘Brahmastra’ – supposedly the most powerful weapon in Hindu mythology. The Brahmāstra motion poster depicts all this and more, with Ranbir Kapoor’s Shiva standing in the foreground of the poster, dwarfed by a majestic Lord Shiva in the background.
The makers of Brahmāstra also revealed the release date of the film. Brahmāstra will hit theatres on 9th September, 2022, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Brahmāstra is planned as a three-part mythological superhero saga. The first part is called Brahmāstra Part 1 of 3: Shiva.
Brahmāstra is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji. It is produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios. Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, and apparently Shahrukh Khan too (as per the Wikipedia page of the film), comprise the cast of the film.
