The teaser of one of 2024’s most anticipated Malayalam films, Bramayugam, starring Megastar Mammotty in the lead, has finally arrived, and fans are just as hyped as ever.
The teaser starts off with an eerie shot of a shirtless man standing in front of an abandoned termple as a cautionary voiceover warns him, “Once you enter this mana, it will transform into your field, river, and hills.” As the hidden mysteries of the temples unravel, fear gradually envelops him. The foreboding background music gradually intensifies as the teaser reaches its crescendo, and in the final shot, we see Mammotty wearing a devlish smile accompanied by his voiceover: “Today marks a significant day as a guest has arrived here after a long time. Welcome to my humble abode.”The haunting background score, along with the surreal monochrome visuals, act as the perfect backdrop for the series of paranormal events that are about to unfold.
Mamootty’s choices of scripts over the last couple of years have been extremely interesting, and Bramayugam is no different. His last two films, Kathal-the-Core and Kannur Squad, have been both critically acclaimed and financially successful.
Bramayugam is helmed by director Rahul Sadasivan, whose previous film was the critically acclaimed Bhoothakaalam. The dialogues are penned by renowned author T.D. Ramakrishnan. Shehnad Jalal is the man behind the jaw-dropping visuals, and Christo Xavier has composed the music for the film. It is produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S.Sashikanth of YNot Studios, best known for producing the 2017 blockbuster Tamil film “Vikram Vedha.”The official release date for Bramayugam will be announced soon.
