SonyLIV has been a little slow this year apart from Gullak Season 4. The platform is known for making good series with a limited buzz. But, nobody hits the roof the way SonyLIV does. With things like Gullak, Scam 2003 and even Rocket Boys, they are always ready to take Indian OTT to new heights. More importantly, they are coming up with “Freedom at Midnight” which looks equally promising as them.
However, the platform doesn’t have a consistent record in the crime drama. You may call Scam 1992 and Tabbar a crime drama but under their skin, they are more than merely a drama based on some crime.
The series is gaining a really impressive buzz, thanks to the exceptionally well-written screenplay and the performance of Trisha that managed to win our hearts.
Their series is one of the few Telugu offerings by SonyLIV and it is a solid one. The fans are overjoyed but we wish the platform had done better in the promotions.
It is no news that the series is gaining views but it is very limited to a certain section of Trisha fans and a few others. The promotions in the Hindi market are almost negligible and that is what SonyLIV could have done better.
