How buyable is this statement? Well, let’s tell you.

While the idea of Indian cinema crushing Hollywood looks tempting but we have to know the practical situation. See the difference between INR and USD. It is more than 80 times more powerful.
Crushing Hollywood with such a small budget and scale is simply impossible. If Indian cinema really wants to crush Hollywood then it can’t be done by the cinema industry alone. The whole of India has to be tempting, developed and attractive. When this is done, our filmmakers need to work on films that are Indian and yet speak to the universal audiences.
Then and only then Indian cinema may crush Hollywood. Because cinema comes after “Indian”. As long as the idea of India is not attractive enough for the world, Indian cinema will simply not be. More importantly, don’t let yourself be fooled by the gibberish comment by someone just because he is British.
