Showtime’s American crime drama series ‘Your Honor’, which was adapted from the critically acclaimed Israeli show ‘Kvodo’, was initially ordered as a miniseries which premiered on the network in December 2020. However, in 2021, the series was renewed for a ten-episode second season apparently because of Season-1’s brilliant ratings. And now, it has been announced that ‘Your Honor’ Season-2 has just commenced its filming schedule.
We also have an update on whether ‘Your Honor’ Season-2 will be the last season or will there be a Season-3 of the series. The show’s lead actor Bryan Cranston has recently revealed in an interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that ‘Your Honor’ Season-2 is going to be the final season. Moreover, Season-1’s writer Joey Hartstone is the new showrunner for the show’s second season.
Regarding ‘Your Honor’ S2, Bryan Cranston has stated that “I am [currently] preparing for the second and last season of Your Honor, which is a limited series that I did for Showtime. As they tell me, it got higher ratings than any other series they’ve ever had – and so, one more season of that.”
‘Your Honor’ features Bryan Cranston as Michael Desiato, a well-respected and honest New Orleans judge who decides to cover-up for his son, who accidentally kills the teenage son of a dreaded criminal in a hit-and-run case. Michael must make some difficult choices with far-reaching effects in order to save his son from the vengeful organized crime family.
The Israeli series ‘Kvodo’ was also adapted in India for the SonyLIV show, which was also titled ‘Your Honor’. The series spanning two seasons starred Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead role of a High Court judge. While the American adaptation ‘Your Honor S1’ is streaming in India on the Voot OTT platform.
