The date this movie has picked for its digital debut has a league of its own. As the buzz goes around ‘Bubblegum’ Is releasing on Valentine’s Day. just like the title, the movie will make rom-com lovers stick to their watchlist.
Bubblegum, a 2023 Telugu-language romantic drama film, was directed by Ravikanth Perepu and produced by P Vimala under Maheshwari Movies and People Media Factory. The film features newcomers, Roshan Kanakala and Maanasa Choudhary, among other cast members, such as Chaitu Jonnalagadda, Harsha Chemudu, Anu Hasan in the leading roles. ‘Bubblegum’ saw its theatrical release in India on December 29, 2023.
The story is all about Aadi and Jhanvi, who hail from diverse backgrounds, confronting challenges in their relationship, wondering if love can mend their differences. The music and background score composed by Sricharan Pakala, with audio rights secured by Sony Music South, add a melodic touch to the narrative.
However, ‘Bubblegum’ fell short, both in the box office collection as well as critics’ expectations. The same-old storyline, aligning with redundant themes with extraneous, unnecessary subplots contribute to the movie’s failure. While Roshan and Manasa deliver appreciable performances, the film struggled to fully engage the audience.
