‘Barbarian‘ is easily the buzziest horror film this season. The atmospheric film has racked up an impressive 92% positive ratings from 148 critics reviews on the ratings website, Rotten Tomatoes. Twitter users have been raving about the film ever since it released in the theatres. ‘Barbarian’ released in theaters in the USA on 9th September, 2022. Sadly, the horror movie did not release in cinemas in India, which is why Indian horror film buffs didn’t get a chance to enjoy the film on the big screen.
All that is a thing of the past, however. ‘Barbarian’ is all set to release on streaming soon, and Indian viewers can watch it then. So the question is, when and where will ‘Barbarian’ stream on Indian OTT?

‘Barbarian’ centres on a young woman Tess (Georgina Campbell of Black Mirror fame), who has rented an apartment in Detroit for job prospects. However, when she reaches the apartment, she finds that the apartment has been mistakenly double booked, and already occupied by a man. With nowhere to go, she decides to stay on in the apartment with the strange man (Bill Skarsgård). As the story unfolds, she soon discovers that occupying the house with another turns out to be the least of her worries.
The official synopsis of ‘Barbarian’ reads – “Traveling to Detroit for a job interview, a young woman books a rental home. But when she arrives late at night, she discovers that the house is double booked and a strange man is already staying there. Against her better judgment, she decides to spend the evening, but soon discovers that there’s a lot more to fear than just an unexpected house guest.”
‘Barbarian’ is written and directed by Zach Cregger. Besides Georgina Campbell and Bill Skarsgård, the film stars Justin Long, Matthew Patrick Davis, Richard Brake, Jaymes Butler and Kurt Braunohler in pivotal roles.
