The production for a new Prime Video Drama has begun now. It is named ‘Cada Minuto Cuenta’ and it will be telling the story of the earthquake that hit Mexico in 1985. Cada Minuto Cuenta will be releasing next year.
The series is being directed by Jorge Michel Grau and it will have a vivid retelling of the 85 tragedy. The earthquake that hit Mexico city killed almost 5 thousand people. The series will tell the stories of a doctor, an ambitious journalist, a stranded family, and many more people. It will show how the victims struggled and tried to cope up with the situation.
It will star Osvaldo Benavides, Maya Zapata, Jesús Zavala and Antonio de la Vega in the leading roles and additional cast will include Miriam Balderas, Azalia Ortiz, Mónica Del Carmen, Gabriela Cartol, Luis Fernando Peña, Zamia Fandiño, Damayanti Quintanar, Daniel Martínez and Pamela Vargas in the series. The series is being produced by Amazon Studios and Traziende Films.
The makers hope that it will be a very honest and sympathetic retelling of the tragedy that troubled so many people. The CEO Traziende films has said, “We are very excited to be able to tell this story hand-in-hand with Prime Video, using the latest virtual production technology that will allow us to show, in a unique way, the drama experienced by Mexicans during the earthquake. It is a profound and respectful narrative that honors the lives lost and saved.”
There is a huge audience that keeps a certain liking for disaster thriller. Cada Minuto Cuenta will hopefully impress them and beyond.
