Karan Johar is one of the most powerful personalities in Hindi cinema ever since the early 2000s. Despite consistent and brutal trolling, the man knows what the taste of the audience is like. That’s the reason he has stood the test of time.
Ananya Pandey is one of the many people who was launched by Karan Johar. She has been in the industry for quite some time. But, she has yet to prove her mettle as a performer. She might have done good, but we shouldn’t be kind to her just because she isn’t bad. There are many brilliant actresses just waiting to be launched and get more films.
Both of them are well aware that they are badly trolled on social media. The promotions of Call Me Bae started with the two coming together and making fun of the same trolling. It was a way to self troll so that people may be left thinking “What next?”.
Anyways, the trailer of “Call Me Bae” is now out. Ananya Pandey plays the character of an ultra rich who is troubled by misfortunes. She has to “struggle” to find a job and make an identity for herself.
The whole series looks like a ridiculous attempt to show who Ananya Pandey wants to be. The joke at the end even solidifies this statement. She wants to be seen like a privileged girl who has struggled to make a name in Bollywood, just like her character Bae. Well, she must have found a few hard things which others would happily die to do. But, it all depends on how people perceive the series. Fingers crossed for Ananya.
