Netflix’s ‘Back in Action’ marks the return of Cameron Diaz to the world of acting after 10 long years. However, the fans have to wait a bit more to watch the actor on their screens as the movie’s release window has been pushed back to January 17, 2025.
Originally scheduled for a streaming release in late 2024, ‘Back in Action’ has been pushed back to January 17 next year, as per Netflix Tudum. Alongside Diaz, the movie stars Jamie Foxx, who also serves as one of the executive producers. It’s not clear why the movie has been pushed back approximately two months.
Apart from the leading duo, the movie has talents such as Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson.
As per the film’s official logline, Diaz and Foxx play a couple (Emily and Matt) who quit their jobs as CIA spies a long time ago to start a new chapter in their lives. However, their world turns upside down after they get dragged back into the dangerous and unpredictable world of espionage when their cover gets blown.
Seth Gordan has directed ‘Back in Action’, who is best known for his directional duties in Four Christmases, Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief, and Baywatch. He also co-wrote the movie with Brendan O’Brien, whose writing credits include Neighbors, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, The House, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Stay tuned for more updates.
