The Malayalam film industry is attempting to bring a different mix of genres in efforts this month that includes flicks like ‘I am Kathalan’, and ‘Mura’ despite being moving slow at the box office. How can the upcoming movie ‘Anand Sreebala’ be notable?
‘Anand Sreebala’ is a cop re-investigation thriller which is directed by Vishnu Vinay and bankrolled by Priya Venu Kunnapilly for Kavya Film Company along with Neeta Pinto for Aan Mega Media. Abhilash Pillai has penned the screenplay and dialogues for the project, based on some true events.
The technical labour includes the handling of cinematography by Vishnu Narayanan, editing overseen by Kiran Das, and Ranjin Raj will be composing the music as well as the background scores respectively.
As the official teaser suggests, the story is expected to cover the sensitive cases happening in the state and how law and order are going to tackle the shackles and achieve a result based on several assumptions and studies. Also, the narrative is expected to have a character-based kind, who will be responsible for mobilizing the plot.
Subsequently, the movie will be able to feature a mother-son equation that deals more with a crime investigation where the mother is expected to be an ex-cop. This idea can make the viewers witness an unusual approach.
On the contrary, the storytelling is based on a re-investigative thriller that will have similarities with the Malayalam CBI Franchise played by actor Mammooty, and Jeethu Joseph’s Drishyam 2, which might be a tribute to this new attempt for such a highly acclaimed project.
Actor Arjun Ashokan is the main lead in the flick, alongside actors Saiju Kurup, Aparna Das, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Siddique, Sangeetha, Malavika Manoj, Indrans, Manoj K U, Shivada, Kottayam Nazeer, Azees Nedumangad, Nandu, Muthumani, and Vineeth Thattil playing important roles.
The movie is expected to be released in theatres on the 15th of November and stay tuned in Binged for more updates regarding ‘Anand Sreebala’.
