As you may already know, Laal Singh Chaddha has been released on Netflix India. Unlike usual films, there was no noise on promotions or anything as it suddenly got released.
Although Laal Singh Chaddha emerged as a fiasco at the box office, one can’t doubt the influence of Aamir Khan on cinephiles. The movie is trending insanely on Netflix India ever since its release and so far dominating Netflix.

Laal Singh Chaddha is not available on the whole of Netflix (unlike RRR). Within selected territories, the views it is reporting to have grabbed are insane.
Although nothing official, there is a highly reliable tracking source called FlixPatrol. They have reported that Laal Singh Chaddha is easily one of the most-watched films on Netflix right now, even after its limited release. It is competing against buzzy titles and we are not demarcating between English and non-English categories too.
But the big question. Can it outperform RRR?
We don’t think so. For RRR, it was not just the views from India but also the international market which played a big role. Unfortunately, Laal Singh Chaddha is nowhere close to RRR when it comes to exciting international audiences.
So it is a short-term trend, Laal Singh Chaddha will be tamed in 3-4 weeks and there doesn’t look like a chance that the film will continue trending for 14 weeks as RRR did.
