Zee5‘s Original Web Series, Shootout at Alair is going to be the last Telugu Original on any OTT platform for 2020. After Middle Class Melodies which released last month, there are very few releases in Telugu and there is nothing that really made an impression on the audience. Films like Anaganaga O Athidi, Meka Suri 2, Bombhaat, and IIT Krishnamurthy released but failed.
Only Aha Video’s Honeymoon got decent reception. It has to be seen if Shootout at Alair can finish the year on a high for the Telugu OTT. Shootout at Alair is an action entertainer that is based on a real incident based on a Terrorist Encounter. It is the first time a Telugu Web Series is made with the Terrorism backdrop.
Telugu Director, Anand Ranga who made Oy! more than a decade ago is making his comeback with this eight episodes web series. Shootout at Alair will be premiered on Zee5 – the Digital Arm of Zee Network on December 25th as a Christmas Special. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Daughter, Sushmitha is turning into a producer with this series. She is producing her maiden web-series titled Shootout at Alair on their Gold Box Entertainments along with her husband, Vishnu Prasad.
