The year 2024 has been full of ups and downs for the film industry. We had some all-time blockbuster films like Kalki 2898 AD and Stree 2. But there were times where there were no good films released, and the ones that released were too much of a disaster in the box office.
The year also started a new trend of re-releases of old films as well. This trend has occasionally provided a lift to the industry when the releases were not good. But this trend was just supposed to be a boost for the theatres and not actually a viable option in the long run. But the fourth quarter of the year is supposed to be a grand time with some really big films about to come out ahead.
There is quite a lineup waiting to be released soon this year. Devara Part 1, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Singham Again, Baby John, Chhaava and Pushpa 2: The Rule are all some big films that are lined up in this year to be released. If the films are released as per plan, what is left of the year will be full of fireworks.
The films that are about to be released are all something that audiences are expecting very eagerly for. These are big budget films with an expectation of going big at the box office. People especially anticipate films like Singham Again (as every film of this franchise has been a superhit), Baby John (directed by Atlee who also made Jawan) and Pushpa 2 (whose first part was a blockbuster). If everything goes as planned, we can witness multiple blockbuster films in the remaining time of the year.
Out of these films, Pushpa 2 is something that audiences have been waiting for years. The first film of the franchise became a significant hit. Its reception was very good among the audience and after its release on OTT, the film became really popular among the masses. The second part of the film is being eagerly awaited by the audience and the film is sure to go blockbuster.
This shows that the year ahead is going to be very good for the box office. For national as well as regional cinema, the following team will prove to be profitable and full of business. It will compensate for the whole year’s dearth of good films.
