A prequel to Ouija (2014), ‘Origin of Evil’ revolves around Alice Zander and her two daughters. The former is a widow and runs a fake seance business to make ends meet. As they start using the board, some evil spirits enter their house and soon take control of Alice’s youngest daughter, Doris. The film is considered a significant improvement over its 2014 lacklustre predecessor in terms of scares, atmospheres, performances, and storyline.
