Call Me By Your Name’s breakout star French-American actor Timothée Chalamet has become a household name in the years following its release. And now, after having delivered hit after hit like ‘Ladybird’, ‘Wonka’, ‘Little Women’, and the Dune duology, Chalamet has cemented himself as one of the biggest and most sought-after stars in the industry today.
Upcoming for him is ‘Marty Supreme’, an original movie from director Josh Safdie and the production house A24. Inspired by professional ping pong player and author Marty Reisman, the feature is all set to reunite Safdie with A24, after the studio produced his previous superhits ‘Uncut Gems’ and ‘Good Time’.
While no further plot and release details have been made public yet, the project will not be Chalamet’s first collaboration with A24. Having headlined 2017’s ‘Hot Summer Nights’, and played the love interest in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Ladybird’, the actor is back at it again with the studio that has delivered the biggest titles of 2024 so far.
‘Marty Supreme’ seems to have procured all the ingredients required to make a box-office sensation: Chalamet, Safdie, and A24. Will it follow the lead of its predecessors ‘Civil War’, ‘A Different Man’, the X trilogy, and more?
Only time will tell!
