Hollywood actor Colin Farrell is riding high after bagging the best actor award for his performance in the highly rated film ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’. In fact, the Irish actor has been in terrific form of late. Directed by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, the film somewhat derives its basic idea from a Greek tragedy. The movie’s story follows a reputed cardiac surgeon Dr. Steven Murphy (Colin Farrell), who lives with his beautiful wife (Nicole Kidman) and two kids. Dr. Steven’s bond with a fatherless teenager (Barry Keogna) leads to his entry into the former’s perfect family. But things soon take a terrible turn for the family when the sinister intentions of the boy are revealed. It also features Alicia Silverstone in an interesting role.
‘The Killing of a Sacred Deer’ has garnered an impressive critics’ score of 79% on reviews aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. Moreover, the film has received a respectable metascore of 73 on Metacritic, indicating ‘generally favorable reviews’. And on IMDb, it has received a decent user rating of 7/10.
