Vicky Kaushal’s historical epic blockbuster Chhaava has arrived on Netflix, satisfying the thirst of Indian viewers who had been eagerly awaiting its OTT release. The movie is now in the final days of its theatrical run, which has already helped it earn over INR 800 crores against a budget of INR 130–140 crores. Despite Chhaava’s OTT release, a noticeable section of fans has raised complaints about the movie’s lack of availability in Telugu and Tamil.
Taking inspiration from the prominent Marathi novel Chhaava by Shivaji Sawant, the latest Vicky Kaushal starrer tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and his epic, brutal fight against the infamous Mughal emperor Aurangzeb (played by veteran actor Akshaye Khanna).
Alongside this duo, we also see talents like Rashmika Mandanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Rana, and more.
Despite its success, Chhaava’s much-anticipated OTT release has disappointed fans by offering only the Hindi version online. Notably, the Telugu-dubbed theatrical release significantly boosted the film’s Indian box office earnings by over INR 15 crores, yet this version has not been made available for streaming.
Here are some X posts from users demanding a Telugu or Tamil-dubbed release of Chhaava.
