A big chunk in India is watching Stree 2. Let’s hope that people also keep a watch on the millions of Strees around us to create a safe, livable environment.
We were not expecting it, but last night, during the so-called paid preview of Stree 2, the makers dropped the teaser of Chhava. There was no news, nothing, so the teaser came out as a total surprise package.
The movie stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He was the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Also, Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta play supporting roles.
Directed by Laxman Utekar of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Mimi fame, it seems like a sort of challenging film for him.
The teaser is very typical of what Sanjay Leela Bhansali established as an action film in Bajirao Mastani. One man fighting against hundreds, swinging heavy objects like it’s thermocol—these are the only things we particularly saw in the teaser.
It’s not bad; it’s just not different from what we are used to. The movie is being released on the 6th of December, which is also the release date of Pushpa 2: The Rise. It would be interesting to see how these two films will be accommodated in the North Indian theatrical chain.
