After revealing its upcoming English language slate for 2024, streaming giant Netflix today unveiled its new Korean slate for the year. Amongst the slew of exciting Korean shows and movies that Netflix has lined up for 2024 is an enticingly intriguing one – comic mystery drama, ‘Chicken Nugget’. The series will premiere on Netflix worldwide in the first half of 2024.
Korean series ‘Chicken Nugget’ has an interesting premise. A young woman enters a mysterious machine thinking it is a fatigue recovery machine and turns into a chicken nugget. The story follows her father as he tries to bring her back into human form. The father is assisted in his endeavor by the man who has a crush on the daughter.
Ryu Seung-ryong (Miracle in Cell No. 7) plays Choi Seon-man, owner of All Machines, and the harried father of the chicken nugget turned daughter, Min-ah, played by Kim Yoo-jung (20th Century Girl). Ahn Jae-hong (Kingdom, Mask Girl) plays Baek-joong, an intern who has a crush on Min-ah.
The comedy series is directed by Lee Byeong-heon (Extreme Job), and is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name.
