OTT is very much an integral part of the entertainment industry now. Given the stellar upward spike in OTT content creation and consumption, several noted actors are contemplating the OTT prospect. However, top stars in Telugu cinema are in no mood to venture into OTT just yet. The likes of Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Prabhas, and others are occupied with their feature film assignments. Meanwhile, senior actors are willing to explore the ‘OTT’ option. Now, here is an interesting update on Chiranjeevi’s potential OTT debut.
Apparently, Chiranjeevi was recently approached by a top OTT giant very recently. However, Chiranjeevi was quick to turn down any advancements in this regard as he opted not to sign the project. At first, Chiranjeevi was reportedly approached for a central role in 1-hour long web film, which had all the necessary commercial ingredients. But the senior hero showed no interest in the same and he rejected the proposal. The same OTT platform initiated talks with Chiranjeevi again for a web series. He rejected this offer as well. The OTT platform apparently offered Chiranjeevi a whopping paycheque in order to lure him but he was the least bit interested.
At a time when other senior heroes like Venkatesh and Nagarjuna are more than willing to venture into the OTT entertainment industry, Chiranjeevi has decided not to explore the avenue. The star hero is currently busy with Godfather, which is in the early stages of production. He will next be seen in Acharya, a Koratala Siva directorial that also features Ram Charan.
