Streaming giant Netflix has got the hottest property up its sleeves; and it’s the movie titled ‘Pain Hustlers’. Netflix has planned a hybrid release for the film, with a limited theatrical release, followed by a wider streaming release on its platform. ‘Pain Hustlers’ will release in select theaters on 20th October, 2023 and 27th October, 2023 on Netflix worldwide.
Pain Hustlers has been generating all the right kind of buzz for the movie. The reasons for the buzz are many, foremost of which is the fact that it features Hollywood stars Chris Evans and Emily Blunt in primary roles. The story is edgy and thrilling, centering on the prescription drugs addiction crisis in America.
Liza Drake (Emily Blunt) is a blue-collar single mom who has just lost her job and is at the end of her rope. A chance meeting with pharmaceutical sales rep Pete Brenner (Chris Evans) puts her on an upwards trajectory economically but dubious path ethically as she becomes entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme.
Dealing with her increasingly unhinged boss (Andy Garcia), the worsening medical condition of her daughter (Chloe Coleman), and a growing awareness of the devastation the company is causing forces Liza to examine her choices. Pain Hustlers is a sharp and revealing look at what some people do out of desperation and others do out of greed.
Anticipating a hit on its hands, Netflix has begun promotions for Pain Hustlers in right earnest. The platform has revealed a slew of first look pictures for the movie. The first look images put Chris Evans and Emily Blunt bang in the center of attraction, and we just can’t get enough of the duo.
Pain Hustlers is directed by BAFTA award winner David Yates, and produced by Lawrence Grey. It also starring Catherine O’Hara, Jay Duplass, Amit Shah, Aubrey Dollar, Willie Raysor and Brian d’Arcy James in pivotal roles.
