‘Thor’ star Chris Hemsworth’s ‘Extraction 2’ is one of the most anticipated films of next year. The last time we heard, the film was doing reshoots after having completed the principal shoot some time back. Now, in the latest updates, the movie’s streaming details have been revealed! The movie is aiming for a June 2023 release on Netflix.
The ambitious film will see Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake returning for another action-filled adventure. If you think the first film had brutal action, wait till you see the upcoming film! As per the admission of its lead star himself, the movie would have wilder stunts than the last film.
The synopsis of the upcoming movie is “After barely surviving his grievous wounds from his mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Tyler Rake is back, and his team is ready to take on their next mission. Tasked with extracting a family at the mercy of a Georgian gangster, Tyler infiltrates one of the world’s deadliest prisons to save them. But when the extraction gets hot, and the gangster dies in the heat of battle, his equally ruthless brother tracks down Rake and his team to Sydney to get revenge?”
2020’s Extraction took Netflix on a ride, raking in big numbers for the streamer. Trending No.1 globally the movie may be one of the streamer’s most successful movies. And for us Indians, a moment of pride when we saw the Indian cast in the film- particularly Randeep Hooda and Rudhraksh Jaiswal- get much love and praise from all over the world.
It is confirmed that actor Adam Bessa (‘Mosul’), will be returning to reprise his role as Yaz. Meanwhile, actress Rayna Campbell (‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’) who previously starred in ‘Extraction’ as a radio tech of Nik’s crew has now been given the named role of Ruthie.
