The action thriller and at this point all so mysterious stars ‘Robert Pattinson’, ‘John David Washington’, ‘Dimple Kapadia’, ‘Elizabeth Debicki’, ‘Michael Caine’ and more. It is produced by Warner Brother Productions.
Several analyses have been made concerning the US release. The worldwide release was neglected in the conversation. Sure, a huge chunk of the audience comes from the US but so does the overseas population contribute with all the aspects of a film especially with such a scale and Nolan adds weight.
According to Vulture, WB and Nolan had discussed releasing in the US before the world but came to a conclusion to do the opposite.
Being an endorser for theatrical experiences, Nolan understands that for his worldwide audiences getting that experience too seeing the long and uncertain situation we’ve been in.
At the end, he is sticking to the original plan of releasing ‘Tenet’ first overseas and then for the US.
This does have negative side effects with the size of the film as piracy could spread; spoilers would be out there, all before US audiences, all these which can affect the buzz of the film and the box office.
Now all we can do is wait to see Warner Brothers decision. Do they delay and hope for a fall/end of the year release with other releases piling on? Or do they set it for 2021, when the film could get its due with time?
It truly is a race against time.
