Amidst so many speculations of who will be the next James Bond, there are now reports that the superstar filmmaker Christopher Nolan will now helm two James Bond movies. The producer of James Bond films Barbara Broccoli is in talks with the director and looks like there will soon be some exciting news.
Reportedly, Nolan’s adaptation will be a period piece, set in the 50s and 60s, when the books were originally written by Ian Fleming. EON Productions had in mind a modern adaptation but a period Bond film is obviously going to be more exciting for fans of both Bond and Nolan.
There is, however, no official announcement from the side of the makers. But Nolan had previously admitted that he has a wish to make a James Bond film. He expressed, “The influence of those movies in my filmography is embarrassingly apparent. It would be an amazing privilege to do one. At the same time, when you take on a character like that you’re working with a particular set of constraints.”
After the humongous success of ‘Oppenheimer’, Christopher Nolan has reinstated faith in ‘cinema’ in the world and has impressed a huge number of audiences once more. He had previously adapted Batman according to his own terms and created the Dark Knight Trilogy, which is regarded by many as the best Batman adaptation ever. If Nolan really directs one or two James Bond movies, it will be VERY VERY BIG. Fans eagerly wait for announcements now.
