When it comes to Indie film, especially Indian indie films you may seem that they win a lot of awards at international events and film festivals but very few people are even aware of their existence.
Apart from the cinephiles and critics who have to keep up to date with all news related to films, there are just a handful of people who have ever seen an indie film. This lack of recognition is not because of the content or quality but because of the limited budget and marketing that these films are usually made on.
Cinemaprenuer is a new venture which is trying to give indie films a great platform so that such projects reach a larger audience and people appreciate the depth of local stories and folklores. Cinemapreneur lauds itself as an OTT platform that is built especially for Indian indie films and viewers can rent or buy passes to watch these titles online as per their wish.
Cinemapreneur recently launched the Adil Hussain starrer ‘Nirvanna INN’ on its platform for about 99 hours and was met with some rave reviews as the audience and the fraternity loved it. They have recently announced that they will be releasing another film ‘A Day Off’ by Aditya Sane on Friday.
Cinemapreneur looks to be the start of something great and I hope that more platforms are inclined towards showcasing such content on a more regular basis.
