Citadel is one of the biggest ventures of Prime Video. The series created by Russo Brothers takes place in different locations. There is a Citadel from the USA. It was released last year and had Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead role.
Then there are Citadels in Italy, India and Mexico being developed. So what’s up with Citadel Diana?
Well, it is the Italian version of the series but due to market reasons, makers shot it in English.
The series includes Matilda De Angelis as the lead character, Diana Cavalieri. She is joined by Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Giordana Faggiano, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz, and Filippo Nigro.
The teaser advertises Citadel Diana as something new. But is it really new?
“You have to join them. You have to build trust but you will still work for us.”
These are the dialogues and still Prime Video wants us to believe that Citadel Diana is a new story. It might be different from last year’s Citadel but it isn’t anything new.
In fact, it is the same old spy story that has the burden of saving the world. It is just that the upscaled grandeur looks great.
The series will be released on the 10th of October on Prime Video. And it will be having 6 episodes in total. Stay tuned to Binged for all updates.
