‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ is going places and the predictions are all right. The show has topped the list of most viewed shows globally this week. This is something extraordinary and this has never happened to an Indian show before.
Taking Raj and DK to direct the show has paid off really well for the original makers. Raj and DK know their job and their audiences as well. The effort that they have put into the action comedy and detailed plotline is admirable. At the same time, they have again used Samantha Ruth in a wonderful way, as they had done in Family Man S2.
This is just the beginning and the show will probably break many records. Honey Bunny will pave the way for Indian filmmakers and showrunners to think of making their stories attractive to international audiences as well. And at the same time, this will also bring new opportunities to the director duo from international industries.
There is a possibility of the show staying at number 1 position for a few more weeks. It will be incredible if it actually turns out like that. In a few days, it will break many OTT records and the drought of original content that Prime Video India was going through for the last two months will be done with.
