The change has not been quick, but it is happening steadily that more and more Indian titles are causing ripples at an international level. So much so, that these films and shows become chart-toppers not only within the country, but also multiple others, beyond the technicalities of geographical borders.
The same is being observed with the case of ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, the Indian spin-off to the internationally renowned American spy thriller television series ‘Citadel’, starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. On top of the original series, the show now, has two spin-offs: ‘Diana’ and ‘Honey Bunny’.
While ‘Honey Bunny’ was destined to debut to a large proportion of audiences, not limited to within the country, but also internationally due to the worldwide success garnered by ‘Citadel’, its results have been stellar. That is, the show is currently reigning at #1 on Prime Video, the exclusive streaming platform, in 42 countries, whereas it falls within the Top 5 in nearly 87 countries!
The show, helmed by Raj & DK, is being hailed for its strong performances as well as gripping storyline. Considering the lukewarm response that has been dominating recent releases lately, it is safe to assume that ‘Honey Bunny’ has broken free from the norm, and managed to emerge victorious!
