Prime Video today revealed interesting details of the hotly anticipated Citadel India, the Indian segment of the Russo Brothers’ spy series Citadel. The revelation was made as part of the glittering event held in Mumbai to announce Prime Video India’s humongous 70+ titles’ Indian slate for 2024.
As per the exciting updates today, the Indian part of the international Citadel universe is titled ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’. From Anthony & Joe Russo’s AGBO Films, Citadel: Honey Bunny is directed by Raj & DK, and produced by their D2R Films. It is written by Raj & DK and Sita Menon.
Citadel: Honey Bunny stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as lead protagonists in the series. The two will play spies, racing against time to stem an international conspiracy against the world at large. Citadel India will also star Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles.
The series is described as a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90s. Citadel: Honey Bunny will also act as the origin story of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ character in the main Citadel series.
