You must have seen the popular meme where the template says “Suffering From Success”. Well, that is not always ironical in some cases. At least for Prime Video, it is true. You must acknowledge the fact that the position of Prime Video India is far better than the international position of Prime Video.
If you remember then Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power was released last year. Although it emerged as the biggest success ever on the platform, it still received massive trolling for its poor writing and not so great storytelling.
Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power is the most expensive show ever with a mammoth budget of $600 Million. However, it did not reciprocate the same success if we consider the input.
Citadel is another high-budget series that has a similar fate. The Indian and Italian versions of the show are being developed but seeing the poor response of the series, there seems to be a doubt.
Citadel is receiving negative reviews and it is certainly gonna hamper the upcoming titles and episodes within the project. They should have spent some time perfecting the script but it didn’t happen that way.
Anyways, Citadel is the #1 title in over 200 countries on Prime Video. But is this instantaneous success gonna benefit the makers? Time will tell.
