As per media reports, the comedy thriller ‘Cocaine Bear’ will soon have a sequel. The second part is already in the works at Universal Studios. The 2023 movie was inspired by an unbelievable but true event. In 1985 when a drug dealer gets his plane crashed, his 225 kg of cocaine is left unattended in the jungle until a huge black bear eats a large amount of it. After eating the cocaine, the effect kicks in and the bear goes on causing havoc throughout the forest of Georgia. It endangers the lives of police officers, criminals and at the same time citizens and tourists.
‘Cocaine Bear’ is one of the finest black comedies to come out in recent times. It was written by Jimmy Warden and directed by Elizabeth Banks. The movie starred actors like Keri Russell, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Christian Convery, Alden Ehrenreich, Brooklynn Prince, Isiah Whitlock Jr, Margo Martindale and Ray Liotta.
It is not known whether the movie will be the continuation of the same story or there will be another story in another setting. The latter is more likely to happen. There is no update on whether any of the actors will return or not. But there are chances that Elizabeth Banks returns to direct the sequel.
