Coming 2 America is another one of those titles on amazon prime that will have you laughing your guts out as it is set in the royal country of Zamunda where the newly crowned king and his trusted confidante have to make their way around the world to America.
What was the reaction of the confidante when he heard that “Oh Hell no”. this movie has a stellar cast with Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Wesley Snipes, and Leslie Jones playing pivotal parts in this film. With the kind of talent that is cast in the Amazon Original Coming 2 America, it is bound to be a laughter riot and the trailer also indicates that there are a lot of indirect jibes at society and what is “Politically correct”.
Coming 2 America is based on characters that are created by Eddie Murphy and is the story of King Akeem and his confidante Semmi who have to go in search of his son to America. The cast has genuinely talented people and their comic timing and expressions cannot be questioned.
It may not be the most unique title available and yes there have been movies around similar concepts but the best thing about such movies is that the actors and performers hold the reigns. They can elevate a story that has been done many times before into something great with their nuances and quirks and Coming 2 America promises truckloads of that.
Coming 2 America will stream on amazon prime on 5th March and can hopefully bring some relief in the new year to balance out all the troubles of this one.
