In a recent update form Bollywood, Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ has begun filming today in Madhya Pradesh. The film coming from ‘Dream Girl’ director Raaj Shandilya got announced last year and since then has had quite an overhaul.
‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ upon its announcement was to be helmed by ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarbjit’ director Omung Kumar and starred Pavail Gulati (‘Thappad’) alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha. As per reports, Amyra Dastur and Ravi Kishan were also part of the cast.

Condom, comedy and Bollywood – these three seem to have become best of friends of late. And that’s because not one or two but three films, one of which has already released, has come into being.
Just a few weeks ago Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Bannerjee starrer ‘Helmet’ released on Zee5. Though the film did not do very well it centred around the social stigma attached with condoms. Other than this, there’s Rakul Preet Singh’s upcoming film ‘Chhatriwaali’ where she plays the role of a condom tester.
Making films and shows on social issues that are often considered taboo or embarrassing to talk about in public has been a way for creative people to put out their thoughts on such subjects and get the necessary conversation started.
Film like ‘Padman’, ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Thappad’, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’, ‘Vicky Donor’ and many more have often tried to do something similar with various issues and were mostly successful too. But with condoms the story has been a bit different until now and we can only hope that it changes for good.
