Under ideal conditions, the new original by Netflix India ie Choona would have been released tomorrow. But, it looks like the platform is giving choona to the audience itself.
Initially, Netflix mentioned the release date of August 2 on the app. Then it was changed to some other date within the app.
When the platform released the trailer of the series then they didn’t specify any release date as they just said that the series will arrive sometime in August.
This is highly confusing to the users as the series has stars like Jimmy Shergill who have the potential of attracting audiences to the screen.
The reason behind this can be the release of Guns And Gulaabs in the same month. Probably Netflix doesn’t want to release two flagship series in a month. Probably it would dilute the big releases of the month.
Guns And Gulaabs is directed by Raj and DK who are easily the hit machines in the Indian OTT industry.
Choona stars Jimmy Shergill, Aashim Gulati, Arshad Warsi, Vikram Kochhar, Namit Das, Chandan Roy, Gyanendra Tripathi, Monika Panwar, and Niharika Lyra Dutt.
