After more than two years since the police procedural crime drama television series ‘Criminal Minds’ successfully concluded its 15-season run spanning 324 episodes, the show’s revival has now been officially greenlit for the streaming service Paramount Plus. The globally popular CBS show has been given a series order for ten episodes and will carry forward the earlier storyline.
For the revival season of ‘Criminal Minds’, the cast members who are expected to reprise their respective roles include Joe Mantegna, Adam Rodriguez, A.J. Cook, Paget Brewster, Aisha Tyler, and Kirsten Vangsness. The show’s production is expected to kick-off from next month in Los Angeles.
The basic premise of ‘Criminal Minds’ revolves around an elite unit of criminal profilers known as the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI. The team members work together to analyse gruesome crimes committed by the country’s most dangerous killers and to catch them before they strike again, while dealing with their own personal problems.
For the revival season of ‘Criminal Minds’, the crime fighting team will join hands again to investigate an important case over the span of ten episodes.
While ‘Criminal Minds’ is streaming in the US on Paramount+ and on Netflix (first 12 seasons), the show is currently not streaming on any OTT platform in India – not even Netflix. However, keeping in mind Paramount’s recently announced partnership with Viacom18, the Paramount+ streaming service is expected to launch in India in 2023. That is bound to make all the seasons of ‘Criminal Minds’ available for streaming in India from next year. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates on ‘Criminal Minds’ series revival.
