Dench’s last feature project was Spirited (2022), a Christmas musical comedy directed by Sean Anders. She had a cameo appearance in that one. The film was an Apple TV+ streaming release, starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell.
The iconic and supremely talented actress is 89 and suffers from macular degeneration in her eyes. According to a study published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), over 200 million people worldwide suffer from this disease. It is one of the most widespread causes of loss of eyesight across the globe.
