Dan Trachtenberg has sealed a deal to direct at least one episode of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5. One Take News broke this news and confirmed it with the streaming platform.
Trachtenberg is well-known for his outstanding direction in 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) and Prey (2022). He has also helmed episodes of Black Mirror, The Boys, and The Lost Symbol.
Prey turned out to be the breakout film for Trachtenberg and became the best entry in the Predator franchise. The film received strong positive reception for critics. It is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
Stranger Things is nothing short of a global phenomenon and has become a crucial part of pop culture. The iconic sci-fi horror Netflix series is created by The Duffer Brothers, with 21 Laps Entertainment and Monkey Massacre Production serving as producers.
The show has delivered four seasons so far, and every season has received critical acclaim. It also skyrocketed the popularity of many stars, such as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, and more.
Season 5 has been delayed due to the ongoing writers’ strike. Netflix will start working on its production as soon as the strike ends.
