Dance Plus – One of India’s biggest dance competitions is coming back, on Disney+ Hotstar. The sixth season of this popular dance reality show was announced through a funny little promo video, which dropped on the official YouTube Channel of DisneyPlus Hotstar, a couple of hours ago. When this show drops for streaming, ‘Dance Plus’ will create history by becoming the first popular dancing reality show to premiere on a digital streaming platform before television. This show is going to be exclusively streamed on Disney+ Hotstar for the first time since the show’s inception – which is a pretty big deal. With episodes dropping regularly from Monday to Friday starting from the end of the second week of September, viewers will not have to wait an entire week to watch any epic performances. With a brilliant 6 to 7 weeks of episodes expected to release on the streaming platform, fans can support their favorite contestants and team much more easily. Raghav Juyal returns to the show as its host for Season 6.
The reality TV dance competition features a variety of solo dancers, duo and group dancers who represent various kinds and styles of dance who take on each other for a grand prize. Each person/ group is taken under the wings of different captains who mentor them as the series progresses. Salman Y Khan joins Punit Pathak and Shakti Mohan as the aforementioned Captains. Bollywood director and choreographer Remo D’ Souza returns to the show as a Super Judge.
Dance Plus Season 6 will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on September 14th 2021.
Seasons 1-5 will be available for streaming on the same streaming platform.
