Bollywood is springing back with one after the movie releases and announcements being made, it finally feels like it is in full swing. With all the latest movies, one more is added to the bag. “Darlings”, announced on Monday by Shah Rukh Khan, will be a movie produced by his production house Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Alia Bhatt’s brand new production house, “Eternal Sunshine Productions”.
“Darlings” stars Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah as the leading ladies of the movie. The movie will also be produced by Alia Bhatt, making this her first production. Along with Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma joining the team of producers. The movie will be directed by Jasmeet K Reen, which will make this her directorial debut. Apart from Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Matthews are roped in to play pivotal roles.
The movie is slated to be a dark comedy starring a mother daughter duo. The role of the mother will be played by Shefali Shah, whereas Alia Bhatt will be essaying the role of the daughter. It is supposed to show the lives of these two exceptional women from a middle class family with the backdrop of Mumbai playing a crucial role. The movie is going to focus on how these two women deal with certain circumstances in life.
Shah Rukh Khan announced the movie on Instagram as well as Twitter on Monday. Alia Bhatt also took to her social media accounts to announce her first production and how this is a special one in her career and life. Going with the theme, this movie definitely will be a woman centric movie. The plans are on for this movie to release it by the end of the year. The movie’s pre production work apparently is in full swing and the shoot for the movie will start in Mumbai, pretty soon.
